Kef got in touch with firestarter , whos idea this LSDJMC2 originally was and asked for couple of ready burnt PIC mikrocontrollers that hold the data for LSDJMC2 operating system.
LSDJMC2 has functions for operating both LSDJ and NANOLOOP and has a MIDI input. What it does is that it syncronous for example a computer sequencer and gameboy, so GB can be played thru the MIDI keyboard or such.
In this blog i will describe and show some pictures of my work. The machine itself has some problems still but im trying to solve them asap. It powers up, makes the "K.I.T.T"-style test mode, the buttons functions like they should and MIDI THRU works but it doesnt sync the damn GB!!! testing testing...
PROTOTYPING
First of course i did the machine to a protoboard. Note that on the protoboard next to crystal is CERAMIC capacitors(22pf). You must use ceramic capacitors to get it work. Of course i read the resistor reading wrong couple of times and had a lot of problems to implementate components properly.
Proto version 1.0
This first proto version was stupidly done, and i made lot of mistakes. Both sides are shown in the foto. Picture is about work in progress. This version did not work because there are wrong capacitors and other mistakes. damn it!
The desing is really terrible! Dont copy :)
BACK TO DRAWINGBOARD.
This is next and current state of attempt to complite this project.
I got hold of this nice proto"vero"board (thanx Jesse) and made next implementation on it.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures.
Top is MIDI IN din-socket.
In the middle there is MIDI THRU.

This time the desing was pretty good and functional.
Here you "can" see that all + and - 's are taken with red and blue jumperwires to both sides of the board. All IC holders are placed on a row and the buttons and leds are taken apart from the board.
Here you can see the buttons placed and wired.
Now IC´s are stuffed and the cirquitboard has been placed with another
"plexi-glass", underneath the buttons and LEDs.
In the middle there is MIDI THRU.
Down you can see powerswitch.
Ill make nice wooden sidepanels to the box and implementate
couple of more extrabright LEDs inside transparent box.
